Freddie Spencer Explains Motorcycle Road Racing
Freddie Spencer – the 1983 500cc and 1985 500cc and 250cc World Champion,better known to motorcycle racing fans worldwide as “Fast Freddie,” describes the incredible demands of high speed motorcycle road-racing. With speeds in excess of 150 mph he reveals the racing techniques of maneuvering, passing and cornering that have made him one of the most popular motor racing champions of all time.
This video shows the evolution of motorcycles and especially motorcycle racing since the end of the World War II detailing how in the increase in performance transformed riding techniques and racing strategies. The “comparo” sequence at California’s Laguna Seca Raceway is an exciting demonstration of really ‘how fast’ a modern racing motorcycle really is.
